Presentation

The International Congress on Social Diversity is organized by the Research Group " Socio-Economic Studies on Diversity" (GESED) of the University of Santiago de Compostela.

GESED was set up in 2010 by researchers from several Spanish universities with aim to create a platform for discussion, research and reflection on diversity and establishing a dialogue among different disciplines. GESED Research Group is formed as a unit linked to the Institutional Chair Cátedra Institucional Pastora Campos Goldner para la Atención a la Diversidad, pertaining to the University of Santiago de Compostela. The Chair’s aim is to encourage research programs in the field of diversity to widen the knowledge of this reality and facilitate the adoption of the decisions. The main objective of the International Congress on Social Diversity is to establish a meeting-place for the international researchers in the area of social diversity, to facilitate a forum for debate and discussion on the work carried out by the specialists in this field. The previous editions of the congress took place in Santiago de Compostela in 2012 and in Madrid in 2014.
